The Rwandan genocide of 1994, members of the Hutu ethnic majority in east-central African nation of Rwanda murdered 800,000 people,Most of them were Tutsi minority. The Rwandan Genocide was a mass slaughter of Tutsi in Rwanda during the Rwandan Civil War which had a big impact. This act could have been prevented if the president wasnt killed. The Rwandan Genocide was a terrible time for Rwandan families and they were affected badly by the genocide. The genocide was sparked by the death of the Rwandan President Juvenal Habyarimana, a Hutu, when his plane was shot down above Kigali airport on 6,April 1994. A French judge has blamed current Rwandan President, Paul Kagame. The Presidents death had become the titular head of state.(Power). The Hutu militias, known in Rwanda as Interahamwe,attempted to exterminate the countrys ethnic Tutsi population.(genocideeducation). The Rwandan genocide, also known as the genocide against the Tutsi, was a mass slaughter of Tutsi in Rwanda during the Rwandan Civil War.(Power). It occured in Rwanda(Power). The scale and speed of the slaughter left its people heartbroken.Members of the Hutu ethnic majority in the east-central African nation of Rwanda murdered as many as 800,000 people. This was a bad time. Yes, The Rwandan genocide could have been stopped with tougher action from outside powers.(Raffy). If the president wasnt killed then people wouldnt be upset and there wouldnt be an uprise. No and yes the country is still fixing its infrastructure, The countrys industrial infrastructure had been destroyed and much of its population had been dislocated.(genocideeducation) Rwanda is striving to rebuild its economy, with coffee and tea production among its main exports. The World Bank has praised Rwandas remarkable development successes, which have helped reduce poverty and inequality. Rwandan families were affected by the genocide and are still dealing with impacts such as death, disease, disability, poverty, and imprisonment. This Genocide caused so many people to lose so much. This was a mass slaughter of Tutsi in Rwanda during the Rwandan Civil War, which had started in 1990. It was directed by members of the Hutu majority government.I Cant imagine what it mustve been like,I know I wouldnt want to have known what it was like.
